[Oman] – [December 11, 2024] Beinex Information Technology and Consulting collaborates with Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, University Medical City, and Novartis to develop an AI-powered platform for analyzing big data associated with cardiovascular atherosclerosis, a primary cause of cardiovascular disorders in Oman. This innovative project intends to reimagine cardiovascular disease risk management in Oman through innovative data analytics and real-time insights.

The initiative aligns with global practices and integrates technology and clinical expertise to promote heart health in the Sultanate of Oman, improving prevention strategies and offering personalized care. The collaboration focused on evaluating the impact of the disease on patients using advanced analytics, big data, and cutting-edge technology. The project also entails boosting community awareness of atherosclerosis through educational programs and enhanced access to advanced cholesterol-lowering therapies for high-risk patients.

The collaboration focused on developing a breakthrough cardiovascular risk assessment tool using data from SQUH spanning a decade. Following the guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology, the team conducted a 10-year risk stratification along with live data integration leveraging advanced data science, data engineering, and business intelligence (BI). The project also incorporated Natural Language Processing (NLP) to extract valuable insights from clinical notes. This resulted in a refined dataset further engineered to provide real-time, actionable insights.
