Job Description

Beinex is seeking the best-in-class Senior Cloudera Administrator to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Cloudera Administrator, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance tuning of our Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem. You will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our data lake infrastructure. Additionally, you will implement and enforce data governance policies and procedures to protect sensitive and PII data stored within the data lake.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Cloudera Manager, Cloudera Distribution of Hadoop (CDH), and related Hadoop ecosystem components.
  • Monitor the health and performance of the Hadoop cluster, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and resource utilization.
  • Implement and manage security controls, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging, to protect sensitive and PII data.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for the Cloudera environment.
  • Create data models as required by the business, Data Science, or Dashboard Development team.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to design and implement data ingestion pipelines, data processing workflows, and data access controls.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams on best practices for data management, storage, and analysis within the Cloudera environment.
Key Skills Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience administering Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem components, including HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, and Spark.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloudera Manager for cluster management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
  • Experience implementing security controls and data governance policies in a regulated environment, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Cloudera Certified Administrator (CCA) or Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) certification is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
